El vicepresidente Sectorial de Comunicación, Turismo y Cultura de Venezuela, Jorge Rodríguez, ofreció este viernes una rueda de prensa en la que demostró la participación del senador estadounidense por el estado Florida, Marco Rubio, en el saboteo cibernético que dejó sin energía eléctrica al país suramericano por más de 24 horas.

Agredieron el control automatizado de regulación del sistema de la hidroléctrica Guri que abastece el 80 por ciento de la energía eléctrica al país, informó Rodríguez en su intervención. Esta información la manejaba el senador estadounidense Marco Rubio poco tiempo después de que se ejecutara la agresión y así lo dejó ver en sus publicaciones de Twitter.
"¿Cómo supo Marco Rubio pocos minutos después (del ataque) que los generadores de respaldo habían fallado? En ese momento, nadie lo sabía aún", preguntó el funcionario del Gobierno Bolivariano.
Asimismo, Rodríguez desmintió que en los hospitales de Venezuela se hayan registrado muertes durante la jornada sin energía, pues el presidente Nicolás Maduro había ordenado la dotación de plantas de generación para prevenir cualquier ataque de este tipo.

Rodríguez informó que el sistema eléctrico en el país continúa restableciendose paulatinamente gracias a la labor de los trabajadores de la estatal Corpoelec. Asimismo, agradeció el civismo y la calma que ha mantenido la ciudadanía ante lo que calificó como "la agresión más brutal a la que ha sido sometido el pueblo Venezuela en 200 años".
Mientras en Venezuela la sociedad asumió con calma las consecuencias del sabotaje eléctrico y los trabajadores de Corpoelec (empresa estatal de energía eléctrica) se esfuerzan sin descanso, el séquito de Donald Trump hacía fiesta, disfrutando con culposa perversión a partir de la angustia del pueblo venezolano", afirmó el canciller Jorge Arreaza a través de su cuenta en Twitter.
"Hace unas semanas, el régimen de Maduro culpó a las iguanas por causar un gran apagón en la red eléctrica. Ahora hemos recibido el primer video de lo que causó el apagón nacional sin precedentes de esta noche en Venezuela”, dijo Rubio en tono irónico sobre el evento que afecto a los venezolanos. El funcionario estadounidense acompañó su publicación con una imagen de Godzilla echando fuego por la boca.
La noche del jueves, el vicepresidente sectorial para la Comunicación Cultura y Turismo de Venezuela, Jorge Rodríguez, afirmó que la intención de esta acto de sabotaje era someter al pueblo venezolano a varios días sin suministro de servicio eléctrico para agredir y dejar diversas áreas vitales sin electricidad.
El pasado miércoles el senador estadounidense por el estado de Florida afirmó que Venezuela estaba “a pocos días de la escasez más grave de alimentos y combustible”.
Asimismo, Rodríguez cuestionó que menos de tres minutos después de que se diera el sabotaje al servicio en su país, Rubio apareciera publicando un tuit donde anunciaba la situación.
Por su parte, Pompeo dijo este viernes que "la escasez de energía y el hambre (en Venezuela) son el resultado de la incompetencia del 'régimen' Maduro".
"No hay comida. No hay medicinas. Ahora, no hay energía", afirmó Pompeo este viernes en Twitter y luego agregó que próximo en caer sería el mandatario venezolano.
